Elizabeth just has to survive the Beltane Ball and she’ll be home safe. But she’s made a lot of enemies in the past few months, and if anyone recognises her, she’s toast. Literally, if the Fairies find her.
Episode 8 – Romance, Railways, Explosive Decompression
Elizabeth gets the chance to fulfill a childhood dream and meet the Loch Ness Monster. But Tripe, Hooper and Elisar are all trapped in a strange metal contraption by a Blue Man best described as a “terminal romantic”. Plus Nyx and Elizabeth get to spend some quality time together on the world’s most embarrassing train journey.
Episode 7 – Riddles, Piddles, Twubble-wubble
Oh no, Hoopy’s in twubble! Some accidental al-fresco micturition has razzed off the Fairies and he’s been cursed into cuteness. And at midnight, the curse is permanent. The team are against the clock to find a way to break the curse and restore Hooper to his usual, stinky self.
Episode 6 – Bard’s Song, Bird’s Nest, Devil’s Bargain
Zounds! Swashbucking heartthrob Jack O’Kent (and his guitar) have another daring plan to trick the Devil into building…a big Tesco’s. All he needs is Elizabeth’s local council skills to complete the paperwork. Meanwhile, there’s trouble afoot in Wales and the goblins suspect the bone-crunching Cockatrice of Castle Gwys is behind it. And Nyx finally tries Elizabeth’s patience too far…
Episode 5 – Old ties, Bus rides, Breakfast
The elves are enjoying hunting humans for sport some harmless outdoor pursuits. The team has only four hours to make sure no humans get bedazzled, turned into swans or savaged by cheerio-loving hounds. But when things come to the crunch (literally) there’s only one person who can save the day. Meanwhile, Tripe goes on an epic quest to offer redemption to an old enemy, and no one notices he’s gone.
Episode 4 – Malmstone, Cliff-chat, Mother-hog
The team are recovering from an epic night on the lash with two icons of Bronze Age art: The Wilmington Long man and the Cerne Abbas Giant. But when they realise that one of the giants never made it home, they have to deal with spurned exes, a grumpy lynx and some graphic tattoos to make sure he’s back on his hillside before anyone notices something large is missing.
Episode 3 – Fun Fair, Fish Bait, Greenteeth
There’s a new stretch of canal being opened to the public, and Jenny Greenteeth isn’t happy about it. In fact, if the team can’t sort it out, she’s threatening some pretty…toothy revenge. With an angry water sprite on one side, and the Darlington Canal and Rivers Trust on the other, it will take more than wishing to keep everyone happy.
Episode 2 – Knuck Hole, Gnome Skull, Numpty
Elizabeth is in at the deep end, when a dragon starts eating Jack Russells and espousing some rather old-fashioned views. Can Elizabeth help Hooper and Tripe to find a safe outlet for his rage against the modern world, without any more beloved pets paying the price?
